Join us for Glam January 2011

Glamour Makeup Portrait Workshop in Jan
Join us for Glam January 2011, we rented an spacous location for Glamour Makeup Portrait Photography Workshop.  We will teach our techniques of doing different styles of Portrait lighting using all types of lighting.  Come in and learn from our mentors.  We will have a workflow workshop from beginning to set up to loading the photos in LightRoom 3.2.  We will show you how it's done by the exports for Client ready photos.  This will be instructional and hands on leaving you ready to do it on your own.  Hands on shooting with your camera, you will leave with photos from our amazing models created by some of Houston's best makeup artists.

We have survived the Teen Vogue, Gothic Glamour and Wedding Fantacy Workshop this month.

“Teen Vogue Fashion!” is what we were saying after our second Vogue Teen Fashion workshop photo shoot this past weekend before the Thanksgiving break. We had 19 models and 19 photographer along with four talented makeup artists come make this all happen. Along with all the parents, we were a site to see shooting. The Photos from the Vogue shoot are making everyone look twice.  Those teens sure did shine.   Here is a photos of Loren from the VTF workshop.  She is over 6 ft tall and just as pretty as her photos.  Special thanks to her posing skills, she made us all look good.  And yet there were even more models that looked just as pretty.

Gothic Dark Glamour was less than two weeks ago and it was shot inside and around a local Cotton Gin.  We had 13 Goth Models, 5 MU artists and 18 Photographers along with 5 Mentor Photographers.  This was a site to see indeed.  My job is to not look as shocked as I really am, lol.  We brought in our canopy bed and placed it in the cotton feild with black and red bed coverings. We had a male model join us at that shoot that gave 200%.  Mostly we bring in male models as props to the female models but this one held his own.  When you start to see more photos of him by himself than you know that he did a great job.  We all can't wait to see him grow into a strong model and actor from Houston.  No-one knew that we were skepical of doing this workshop for one, we were thinking that no one would be interested in Goth and two we knew that the Cotton Gin was a little out of the way as far as driving from downtown Houston.  Kuttos to all that traveled the distance to get the shoot.  Here is a photo from the Gothic Glamour shoot of Model Ashley Sanchez.

This past weekend we completed our fifth WOW workshop.  If you have never been to a WOW workshop it's always different from the next with White Outdoor Wedding photos of Gorgeous models in Unique Wedding dresses in Unique locations around Texas.  We went to the Rose Garden in Needville for the last time since they sold it.  It was spectacular with models we have never worked with coming to add wedding dress photos to their portfolio.    Here is a photo we worked on right at the end of the workshop when everyone was packing up and leaving.  Model Vita stayed awhile for us to capture it.  We duplicated an idea with using red and blue jels at the doors of the Chapel.  Here is our WOW photos from number 5.  We had 17 models, four makeup artists, 22 Photographers along with Six Mentor Photographers helping them.

Gearing up for Glamour Haute Hollywood Nite Club workshop

We will start off this blog with a photo of Model Jessica Kemski taken last Sunday in Galveston’s Sunrise Beaches. A hand full of photographers and models woke up at 4am to run and beat the sunrise on the beach. We hope to get to do this again soon. We also have the SOS workshop coming July 17/18 to flood the beaches the weekend with 100s of swimsuit models and photographers.

We are gearing up this weekend for the Glamour –Haute Hollywood Nite Club workshop. We are expecting about 45 people and it should be a great time. We have over 20 models, 4 Makeup artists and 17 Photographers at this time. We have a few more spots for photographers and it will close on Friday. The model lineup is spectacular and you can see them all on onetalentsource.net Forum under HHN workshop.

Photo above is Model Anna Fernandez at the WOW4 workshop. The sunrise lighting turned out great and it was a sweet location in Brenham, TX.

June 13 is our Urban Fashion Workshop to cater to inside and outside around downtown Houston. Many have asked what is Urban Fashions and the latest City High Fashion is Urban and not to be confused with Rural. lol

Above is model Holland Nicole that attended our Senior 2011 Campaign workshop last weekend in Needville. An amazing location we love to go back to. The seniors had a blast with all the location and props around. They got to shoot inside and outside with 12 different photographers.

Stress is something that we all live with and deal with everyday. Come take the stress off your planning and details by shooting at one of our workshops. We do it all except press the button on your camera. Lol For a workshop concept photo shoot listing see www.thephotobinder.com.

We are about to post a few new workshops soon and are waiting a few dates and location approvals. Check back here on our Weekly Wednesday Blogs.

Gearing up for WOW4

First model on the spot of the HCR was Model Eleya Maureen for the amazing Sunset. Everyone helped her load her things to her plush silo rooms and then the cameras came out for three days of shooting. My feet hurt just remembering the event. lol

This weekend we are gearing up for the WOW4 in Brenham, TX. We plan on doing White Wedding dresses outside in an amazing area. We have 14 photographers and 14 models lined up to show Saturday morning. Looking forward to it.

Friday night at the HCR, we set up rotating shoots all over the Ranch and one is at a doorway with lights everywhere. This set up was designed by Photographer Mark Matthews and model is Rebecca Bertot in her western glamour. We had several setups in the top of the barn, in the barn stalls, in the big house and on the back porch. We never did get to do that pillow fight but will next time.

My son's first reply was, the background looks fake. Well it's not. This was the sunrise at the Ranch HCR weekend. Model is Britney Rendon in the bluebonnets next to the pool at the Ranch. We can't wait to repeat this weekend workshop soon. Soon after the sunrise the models and photographers took off down to the creek to meet the GOAT. photos can be seen on the HCR and MMM3 workshop on http://www.onetalentsource.com/.

We introduced wedding dresses on the MMM3 Workshop this past weekend and it worked amazing at sunset. Below is a photo of Rebecca Bertot in her element. She held the flowers for me to shoot then threw them to climb to shoot with more photographers. She was amazing. This was the shoot that wore us all out. It turned warm on us as the morning was a little chilly.

Austin is having a convention to photographers May 15/16 so we decided to go and host a western WWW West workshop at an awesome Ghost Town we got lined up to shoot at. Posting of this workshop will go up tomorrow as soon as I clone myself. lol

Gearing down after the Workshop

Gearing down after the Workshop

Yesterday’s workshop for the WOW3 was just smooth and amazing. We have about forty of us. The Makeup Artists out did themselves. We had a few new MUA’s come out and work on some detailed Beauty finishes on the models that came. We usually give the makeup artist two hours in advance before each workshop but we could only get in at 6am and they could board the ship at 7am. The 5 makeup artists did their best to knock out the models by then and ran a little over 7:30 by the time they finished up their last model. The photographers were all set up by then and ready to shoot. The ship alone is just breath-taking and you add models, is like adding water. Lol

We had a guest Pro-Wedding Photographer / Pro Instructor come to model on the other side of the camera for us. He was a trooper with instructing the models in some amazing photos to add to your portfolio.

Now photos from this event are being posted on this link.

Here is a photo by Photographer Kris Cox of the Elissa Ship in Galveston, where we had the WOW3 (White Outdoor Wedding)3 Photography/Modeling workshop this past weekend.

I think everyone enjoyed the Urban Trash the Dress in the back alleys of the Strand in Galveston after we got off the Ship.

Now we are scan model releases and starting the photo processing from this event. Photos from us will be posted soon. To learn more about these workshop, look at the next seven workshops we have listed on the front page of www.ThePhotoBinder.com
