Pass the Popcorn

Grab your coffee, click subscribe, enjoy the readings of my blogging ramblings of Gearing up topics. I'm always on the run and sharing my comings and goings of the life and times of the life of an active photographer.

We host monthly workshops for photographers, models, actors and makeup artist. We do this in unique location with a different concept in hopes that everyone involved can add their photos to their portfolio and build it up.

Now, pass the popcorn and tell me what you think?

Questions about ThePhotoBinder workshops Photo Shoot

Questions about ThePhotoBinder workshops

We get tons of emails asking what to expect at our workshops, I’m here to explain what to expect and answer those questions that many have asked and you never hear the answers.

Q. Will everyone be shooting the same model at the same time?

A. No and Yes. We don’t want you to shoot the same model at the same time as everyone else, but we have seen once or twice at a workshop that everyone wants the same photo of the same model and they all gather for a short time getting a shot of some amazing pose or background. We try to space out all the models for everyone to shoot at different times. We try our best to make the ratio 2:1 for Photographer to Model.

Q. What if I don’t have any lighting equipment to use at your workshops?

A. Lighting is not a problem; we bring in many mentors that have advanced lighting equipment for anyone to use that needs help or lights. It gives you a chance to test out different types of lighting to show what your photos look like with speed lights, reflectors, beauty dishes, umbrellas and soft boxes. This also gives you as a photographer a chance to see how and what type of lighting is use on location with different types of batteries.

Q. I am new at photography and I don’t know how to guide the models in posing, how will I fit in?

A. Our workshops are geared for newbie photographers and specialize in getting you to fit in. We have this one photographer that comes a lot because he is an introvert and he does not speak to people even at work, he claims that he has learned to talk to the models and photographers like he’s a natural Fashion Photographer. We hope that anyone of all levels will come and use our services; We gear to make those that are new able to shoot and guided by our mentors that will teach them in minutes that routine of posing and shooting angles.

Q. What if I want to bring a helper, do I have to pay for them to come help me?

A. All guests are welcome weather they are with a model or photographer. All helpers or assistances are free to attend all our workshops unless space is limited. All helpers are not allowed to shoot with a camera. We give all photographers that register a badge to wear and this is how the models know who photographers are assigned to shoot them.
